I am Mr. Lassoued Karim Gérard, a patient of Dr. Eimer. He operated on my nose at the Tivoli Clinic in Bordeaux.
Following this delicate procedure, I had several follow-up appointments. I noticed a lump on the right side of my nostril. Dr. Eimer explained to me that this swelling was normal and to wait for my nose to go down before assessing it.
Following the latest check-ups, Dr. Eimer noted that the swelling was still present and gave a slightly different appearance on the left side. Dr. Eimer told me that depending on the skin type, it could take time to go down and that it could take several years, especially since I had thick, oily skin. I had to wait until everything had fully absorbed, especially around the scar, because he couldn't operate on a fresh scar again. I had to let time pass and come back to see him to get a precise assessment and decide if there was anything to do.
So I waited as Dr Eimer had advised me, then tragic events in the family meant that I put this nose problem aside, and following a complication of pain and swelling in this nostril, I tried to contact Dr Eimer but unfortunately I learned that he had left France. A secretary informed me that Dr Eimer's files had been taken over by his colleague in agreement with Dr Eimer and advised me to make an appointment with her. The latter, from the first second, contradicted the secretary's statements, and made me understand that she had no connection with Dr. Eimer and did not know him, although the secretary had told me the opposite, but she was extremely unpleasant, bordering on insolence and contempt, without examining me even though I was in a lot of pain, and in a dark room with no windows, no daylight, with dim lighting, and going so far as to tell me that it was psychological and advised me to go see a shrink...
In real pain, I had to consult Dr. Lacher-Fougère, who confirmed the external and internal swelling, an abnormal reaction with slight deviation and difficulty breathing. He prescribed an allergy test and Derinox for a year, as well as an appointment with his colleague at the same practice. The latter also confirmed a problem but categorically refused to touch anything, claiming that his policy did not allow him to override the interventions of his colleagues and that I should just go see Dr. Eimer. I explained to him that Dr. Eimer had left France for Switzerland, so he humorously encouraged me to go and join him, saying it wasn't that far away, and that's how it ended... (is this normal and worthy of a self-respecting doctor?)
