Without a doubt, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Brusco for his expertise and mastery in the field. I underwent bimaxillary orthognathic surgery in January 2024. The entire journey—from the initial decision to the recovery process—is complex and at times, challenging. It’s essential to have not only an expert but also an empathetic professional who can provide support and reassurance. I found both qualities in Dr. Brusco from my very first visit. He ensured that I was well-informed throughout the process, never pushing me in any direction. The surgery was meticulously planned, and my healing process was remarkably smooth—far from the daunting experiences often described online, surely thanks to Dr. Brusco’s skills. During follow-up visits, he genuinely took the time to check on my well-being as well as the surgical results. Cost were just as anticipated. I highly encourage anyone considering surgery or exploring potential solutions to consult with Dr. Brusco. I am extremely pleased with the results. I can now bite normally, and breathing through the nose is much easier. I like my smile that doesn’t feel overly transformed. While I believe my face has changed noticeably for the better, after about six months, those who hadn’t witnessed the process were often unable to tell that anything had changed—which, for me, is a great success. I still feel very much like myself. I’d like to share some details of my own experience in hopes that they may help others, keeping in mind that every individual and surgery is unique. My journey began several years ago when I first learnt about this type of surgery that could correct my bite, even though I was already over 40. I consulted a few surgeons in Spain (private) and Switzerland (university hospital) to gather information and form my opinion. At first, the idea of undergoing a procedure that involved cutting bones seemed completely crazy —something I wouldn’t consider unless absolutely necessary. Yet, the desire to bite normally and breath better lingered in my mind. It took me about three years to finally reach Dr. Brusco’s practice. The moment I left his office after our initial consultation, I knew I was ready to move forward with him. In my case, orthodontic treatment lasted 22 months, with 15 of those months preceding the surgery. Dr. Brusco maintained communication with my orthodontist as needed throughout the process. Despite my initial fears about pain, I experienced none at all. Remarkably, I was able to use a spoon and brush my teeth from the very first day after surgery (I recommend anyone deciding for such surgery invest in a good electric toothbrush; it makes the process easier and more efficient). My breathing improved significantly just a few days post-surgery, allowing me to sleep with my mouth closed, which is truly wonderful. This review feels like the end of the journey! I can highly recommend the clinic and Dr. Brusco. Excellent diagnostics, empathetic and clearly understandable advice. The operation itself went without complications and the post-operative treatment left nothing to be desired. Thank you very much, I would choose this clinic again anytime.
